Oceania Cruises is a premium cruise line based in Miami, Florida that operates six premium cruise ships on worldwide itineraries. It offers from 10- to 14-day cruises and is also known for its longest cruise trip lasting up to 195 days. The newly opened itinerary where Puerto Plata was included is named Tropics & Exotics Collection.

According to the President and CEO of Oceania Cruises, Bob Binder, “This new collection of itineraries includes iconic ports and offers a wealth of opportunities to explore corners of the world almost unaffected by tourism. So there are currently 4 big international cruise lines that have Puerto Plata in their voyage itineraries for the 2019-2020 season. These are Virgin Voyages, Oceania Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line and MSC Cruises. They will depart from Miami and New York.
